DAY 1 – Multicultural Experience

Powiat Bialski (Biala Podlaska District) and the Bug area is well known for its multicultural character and is often called „the meeting point of three cultures, traditions and religions”. It's the place, where Poles, Ukraininans, Belarussians and Jews have lived together over the years. This is where the Roman Catholics, The Orthodox Catholics, Uniates and Jewish people lived in harmony and built their own churches.

Visit the Catholic and Orthodox sanctuaries in Kodeń and Jabłeczna, the Uniate Church in Kostomłoty and the Orthodox Church in Sławatycze with our guides. Come to Kodeń, where the Catholic sanctuary of Kodenska Holy Mary is situated. See the miraculous painting of the Virgin Mary and go to the inspiring monastic gardens. Go to the Orthodox Monastery, which „sleeps” quietly on wild meadows of the Bug riverside since 15th century. It's the oldest Orthodox object on Polish soil. And in the end visit the absolutely must see – two churches – Catholic and Orthodox –  facing each other on the main street of Sławatycze village. That seems to be the best proof of perfect harmony and symbiosis of Catholics and Orthodox Christians on this land. You may also visit the Tatar Cemetery in Zastawek or the Jewish Cemetery in Sławatycze. There are many interesting cemeteries in the nearest neighbourhood of Sławatycze, Kodeń and Kostomłoty too. Most of them are Catholic (Roman Catholic) and Orthodox.

Guided tours to sacred places are organised with the use of mini-buses, 4×4 cars or coaches. You may also visit these places using your own car, motorbike or even bicycle if you like to.

DAY 2 – Unforgettable adventure of kayaking on the Bug river

On the second day of your stay we invite you to go kayaking on the Bug river with us, from Sławatycze to Kostomłoty. In the evening relax at the campfire and maybe even sing to the sounds of a guitar.

Relax and taste the real eastern adventure in two seated, comfortable canoes, along the Polish/Belarus border. While kayaking you will feel closeness of the nature, see wild animals and maybe even some fish jumping out of the water. There is a big probability of meeting a stork or a heron hunting for frogs. You can rest on one of the beautiful sandy beaches on the banks of the river and spend a while simply lying in the shade of the weeping willows.

During the day we are going to serve you delicious traditional split pea soup on the beach. In the evening you'll be invited to the presentation of local cuisine specialties which you'll be able to taste and of course buy to enjoy them at home.

The kayaking is going to be about 40 km long. It includes transfers by car/coach to the starting point and from the finishing spot to where you'll be staying. All necessary equipment as buoyancy vests and oars is provided. We also provide you with full care and company of  lifeguards and qualified instructors.

DAY 3 – Active recreation on bicycles

One of the best ways to explore our neighbourhood is to cycle around. Luckily, there's a good opportunity for all cyclists to do so in an organised way with our guides who are bike enthusiasts.

We are pleased to invite you to cycle with us along the Bug River. Our bicycle ride will be a very good opportunity to experience the beauty of the Bug river surroundings and Lubelskie's undiscovered nature. You're going to ride a bicycle trough the rural, wild countryside, visiting beautiful places and having many opportunities to watch rare animals, birds and colourful dragonflies as well as great variety of flowers, trees and other plants as for example wild hops or wild blackberries (which you can eat too!). The route length is going to be about 40 km (it may be shortened or extended if desired). It will mostly run on solid/paved roadbed to sometimes go through countryside roads – still comfortable for most bicycles.

If you come without a bicycle, just make a reservation for one of our new, fully equipped trekking bicycles.

We provide professional bicycle service, spare parts and quick repairs on the track as for example puncture repair.

If you wish to stay longer or come earlier, you can get a guided bicycle tour for any other day or just rent bicycles and plan your own trip. That will let you take your time during the ride and for example spend a while lying on one of many colourful meadows situated along the Bug river or go to the woods to pick some mushrooms or cranberries.

DAY 4 – Time to rest and see our other attractions.

After three days of active sightseeing you can take a rest, do some light activities or take advantage of other attractions that we offer.

Visit Mucharyniec – a legendary place where an old Orthodox Church is believed to have been situated in the past. Nowadays, there is a mysterious circle in the middle of the forest. A circle, where no trees grow. You just need to see it with your own eyes. One of our guides will show you the place and tell the local legend about it.

Go to Białe Lake (30 km/18 miles from Sławatycze) for water sports, swimming in crystal pure water and sunbathing on sandy beaches.

Take your family or friends to tennis courts to play tennis or take your fishing rod and go fishing in the rich in fish river or local ponds. Just ask your host for details.

Go horse riding in Janów Podlaski – Horse Stable famous in Europe and the whole world for its Arabian horses.

Our area is a great place to be treated as a base for trips to other regions like Podlasie, Polesie or even Roztocze. You can easily move  from our region to for example Polesie National Park – area of over 10 000 hectares of peat lands, wetlands and lakes, where you can spot various species of plants and unusually rich wildlife, featuring over 150 bird species (only 50 km/31 miles from Sławatycze).

If you don't come by your own car, we'll arrange a car trip for you, anywhere you wish to go.
